I think so. We have a photographer that we've been working with since my DD was about a year old. She's fabulous and SO creative, I would love to have her to a maternity/new born session.
We will do newborn with a professional photographer.
My BFF has a professional camera so I will most likely see if she will take some maternity pics depending on how I look/feel.
I will definately be doing maternity and newborn. I am going to try to get H to let me have a birth photographer as well. I didn't do a maternity shoot with my first but with my second I did. I love looking at the pictures and remembering how I felt before I had her. I also included H and DD in the session, which was fun.
It also helps that I have 3 friends who are photographers so I get a discount.
I also work with one of them when she has weddings as a second shooter so I take lots of my own.

I was HUGE with DD and I still had Maternity photos done. I'm so glad I did. They are beautiful. It was impossible sitting Indian style (what was she thinking?) but it all worked out in the end.
I would love to have them done for this baby too, but with all the moving, i'm not sure where i'll be, or if I can find a photographer.
Newborn pictures are a must. DD was 6 weeks before i got her pictures taken.
