My FFFC (kinda long)

Yesterday we went shopping. ALL day. My parents car died so DD and I took my mom and grandma on errands all day. My car was full of stuff. When we got to my parents my dad came out into the front yard to watch DD play in the snow while we unloaded the car. DD had been couped up all day in either the car seat or a shopping cart and was full of beans. She was wearing a coat, hat and mittens when I took her out of the car. She wasn't too far from me when she ripped her mittens off and bent forward to poke the snow.

What happened next happened in slow motion but probably only took a couple of seconds. Her balance in her new boots isn't great so when she bent at the waist she lost her balance and put out both hands to stop her. Her hands went right under the snow, she realized it was cold, yanked them out of the snow while still falling farward. She went face first into the snow and stayed that way. Bum in the air and face under the snow. I picked her up right away but it was so funny and dad and I burst out laughing. I couldn't help it. I cleaned the snow off of DD's face and because it was so slow when it happened she wasn't even close to being hurt.

We took her inside and I gave her a cookie and she was no longer mad. When we left to go home after dinner she made me put her mittens on her and they were still on when we got home.

So ya, my kid wiped out and my reaction was to laugh my as$ off. Afterwards I was kind of glad it happened because she kept her mittens on and my never ending battle to keep hat and mitts on was won. I am an awesome mom. Yeesh.

aww thats cute! lol

Ive learned that if LO falls and doesnt seem its extreme danger, or pain I always laugh... because he looks at me for a reaction.. if I jump being all nervous thats when he started to cry.. If I laugh... he brushes it off and continues with what he was doing!
