Not a chance. Liam loves his jumper more than words can say, I wouldn't want to deprive him of it! (Sorry, I know I'm not who this thread was directed towards, but I had to reply)
I was totally planning to skip all of that, but I took LO to My Gym for the first time today and they put him in a swing and a jumparoo. He loved them both. At home we do not have any door frames to hang a jumparoo, so we are giving the grandparents one for our DS to jump around in when he is visiting them.

Totally this! He needs something stimulating if I want to do something that takes more than 30 seconds.
Bar tab = $156,000, Bus to Foxwoods = $0, Puking in the Stanley Cup = Priceless

There are Jumparoo's that don't go in doorways. They're free-standing, albeit they take up quite a bit of space. Just fyi
No way... the kiddos love it, and it makes it possible to get a lot done. Good to get them off their back too. I got an exersaucer from craigslist for $25.
We are skipping all "containers". DS goes to a Montessori school that believes in free exploration and independence as a curriculum in their infant room. We really love it there and didn't want to have those things at home confusing DS. They have mentioned that babies who have them at home and not at childcare are not as happy there because they want to rely on those. DS is totally happy on the floor and is rolling all over the place. All he needs is a new toy put in front of him and he is happy again. We are not against them at all, we used them with DD, but for DS we have decided not to at the recommendation of our childcare and our pediatrician. He does not like anything but the bumpo for "containers"
i don't know how i would get through the day without mine. i don't put them in there for more than a 30 minute stretch but that time is a big break for me. with twins it's really nice to have that time to just sit down and not be juggling a baby.
They're not good for either their physical or mental development so we're pretty much skipping all "containers". We do however have a Jolly Jumper and every so often we'll pop DS in it which he does enjoy. It's only maybe once a week for about 5 minutes and one of us is always with him, interacting.
Re: Is anyone else skipping using a walker/jumperoo, etc.?

Not using either, but my LO is pretty content hanging out on the floor while I do dishes, mop, etc.?
