My BFF is pregnant and didn't tell me.

She is 22 weeks. She lives in Alaska and I live in Texas. It wasn't difficult to hide. She has 3 kids who are ages 1,3,4. She was on birth control. She was having  a hard time being excited about it. She didn't want to rain on my parade after what I had been through. She is very excited now after getting to see him on an ultrasound. There are no doctors where she lives so this is the only u/s during her pregnancy. I am sad that we haven't been talking about this all along. I am also so thankful I have such a thoughtful friend.

    I have a close friend who did the same thing. She had a m/c right before I did and we leaned on each other. I got pg before her (but I was closely watching my cycles, she and her DH weren't paying attention they just wanted to let it happen) and she was very happy for me. Then we didn't see each other for a while and I found out on FB when she was 20 wks. I was a little hurt by it considering that we leaned on each other so much during that rough time and that she was happy for me, and I can totally understand not wanting to tell everyone because a lot didn't know about her m/c but I knew and it was hurtful to me. In the end I didn't say anything and we've picked back up where we left off. But I know how you're feeling.

    Jessica, that was really sweet of her to consider your feelings, but I know what you mean.  I have a friend who did that too...  It almost seems like sometimes there's no way to please us loss survivors, though...  One day I could handle it, another I couldn't.

    I'm sorry, I read some of the insensitive things peoples friends say on here. I can't believe how lucky I am in the friend dept.
