Best PG Jeans question

I will probably gross a PP out because I am sure I will gain more than her recommended 10 lbs SOON, so I need a new pair of jeans.

Any great MAT jeans?

Re: Best PG Jeans question

  • I just got some from Gap that I really like. Mine are boot cut but I really liked the Long and Lean ones too-they just didn't have my size. They were affordable and I think they are cute. I have another pair from Motherhood that I HATE so I wouldn't recommend those.

  • Common Genes.  I got mine at JCPenny, but they have them elsewhere.  they have the fully belly pannel in nude so you can still wear lighter tops without the colors showing through.   They also have a little longer inseam so I can still wear slight heels with them (I'm 5/10")  I think they were only $35 too, which is great and they are great quality!
  • I just ordered some from Gap (I ordered both Long & Lean and Boot Cut, and will return the ones I like least), because I have always liked their jeans and I'm short, so they have the ankle length.  But I can't comment on how good they are yet :)

  • I'm 5'9", so had to hunt for jeans that were long enough.  The ones I got from Gap kept sliding down my butt - return.  Surprisingly I found the Straight cut (in Long) from Motherhood fit nice, and are the perfect length to wear with flats.

I'd love to get some Paige mat jeans but don't feel like spending $250+ at the moment.

  • I bought a pair of Sevens and will probably buy a pair of Paige before the baby is fully baked. These were the only two I loved when I tried on.
  • I have the Old Navy denim leggings in a dark wash.  They're the most skinny jeans-ish ones I could find, and totally don't look "maternity" until you see the panel.  Wore them to work today with boots and a sweater.
  • Great, thanks ladies!

    I will start my search.

  • I'm in love with the Target low-rise jeggings. They look and feel like jeans, they even have a button and real pockets, and they are super low-rise so they sit comfortably beneath the belly. I have 3 pair so far, and they're perfect for wearing with cute winter boots!
  • I love my Pea in the Pod jeans.  Love them.  I also have a pair of Mavi jeans that I really like, and I wear those frequently too, but the Pea jeans are my fave.

  • Ha, I just came from the GAP.

Mind you, as of last week, I've gained 16 lbs, so I'm way ahead of you.  And while these are not jeans, I'm totally raving with the Maternity Perfect trouser.

And GAP has a wicked sale going on right now, so I'd say go for it!

  • Oh, and also, to those who are going to buy designer jeans, normally I wear Citizens and Paiges, but they fit HORRIDLY when I tried them on.  It's like they don't translate well to my body, so obviously make sure that you try them on.  Better luck to you all!

Then again, I'm not that much of a jean person, so this is not that big of a loss for me.

  • I have a pair from Gap that I really like (perfect boot) when I first put them on, but they're definitely a one-wear jean because they stretch out.  Even though they stretch though they don't fall down!

I agree with the pp about definitely trying them on even if you like a certain style pre-preg.  I LOVE my Gap long and leans from before this pregnancy, but the maternity ones fit me completely differently.

I also just got a pair of jeans from JCP that I really like.  They run big though so I'd definitely try these on as well.  They're much looser in the legs than they look on the model, but still look good.  For reference, I got a small in these and wear a 4 in gap maternity.
