Our really good friends have offered to watch DD (they want to have a baby soon so I think it would be good practice LOL, or it may talk them out of it) but we typically go out with them so... they usually cant LOL. but i would definitely have them watch her if we needed a sitter. They are so good with her when they are around her and they love her. I totally trust them =]
A couple of friends have offered, but we have only left him with my dad and stepmom. They are my first choice and if they aren't available, I am not sure if I would call my second choice. I'm not ready to leave him with friends.
Wow I feel like a bad mom. My friend watches DS while I'm at work; my mom and MIL watch him while I'm in class, and my best friend has watched him too. We have left him overnight twice with my MIL. DH and I need time to ourselves every now and then!
Re: who babysits?
I just realize no one has offered to keep LO. Haha
My aunt kept him once because my mom had errands to run. I think my mom was more freaked out than I was.
I say go for it, as long as you trust them, I don't see why not.

I also gave up on the bottle
I now only leave DS for 2-3 hour stretches.
I have plenty of relatives nearby, so I'm hoping I won't have to leave DS with a "stranger" until he can talk.
