So today was mostly just a BPP. She got her usual 8/8. She's active and all of that.
But she's a big girl. I'm 35w1d. She is already 7 pounds by estimate. I know weights are variable, but that's their estimation. She's measuring 38w5d based on head, abdomen, and long bones.
So, the current plan is more insulin, and he is going to recommend BPP next week, then the week after (37w1d) another full measurement scan and an amnio for lung maturity. If that looks good, she comes out. He says I may be looking at delivery over Christmas weekend.
Come on baby, get those lungs ready!

Re: She's going to be a big baby...
Did you feel that? I just hugged you against your will. Cruel is next so don't tell her.
I'm super emotional today and feel all warm a fuzzy about your baby coming soon. As long as her lungs are ready.
I'm going to stand back and wait for the hug-fest to be over with. ewwwww.
Yay! That would be so exciting if she can come around Christmas! I hope she gets ready! I would love to see a picture of those cheeks!
Yeah, the peri is super-insistent on that being checked first. I don't know how these people try to induce themselves early. My peri won't even consider allowing it without lung maturity verified.
I'll happily accept your webhugz! I'm pretty emotional too these days. I got misty eyed when I washed all of her clothes and then changed the ling tray in the dryer. It was a big pink puff!! I'm getting to be one of those huggy-cryers.
I can't wait. I just want to squeeze her chubby face!! I wish I could help her get ready somehow but as soon as she is ready, I'm ready!
Oh Christ. If you start going soft on us, we're going to HAVE to start being supportive. Don't do it!!
I hope the extra insulin and whatnot helps.
How big do they consider too big? My son was 10lbs 2.4 ounces at 40 weeks.
Whoa! For me, that is too big!
Was he a C-section? Also, were you GD?
Their concern is newborn transition because my GD can give her blood sugar issues also starting out. My sugars still haven't fallen into control even with a lot of insulin. Also, they don't want an issue with delivering a baby and it getting stuck.
I really don't want a section, so I'm all for induction as long as her lungs are ready.
