so this is IF related disappointment

No follies at my check this morning. Canceling this cycle and I have a follow up appointment on Jan 6th to discuss our options. It looks like we will be moving onto injections.

I think I have always been in a little bit of denial that I really had IF issues. I actually had a little bit of hope that all I needed was a little bit of a jump start and I might actually O on my own. The glaring realtity of my IF was staring me in the face on that screen this morning in the form the vacant ovaries that can't even respond to meds. I've cried twice already this morning and I'm leaving work in a few hours to probably cry again. I didn't even feel this disappointed when we moved onto treatments/seeing and RE. This blows... Crying On the plus side... at least I won't have to find out on Christmas day if this cycle didn't work like I would have if we triggered today...

Cycle #7: 1/10/11 = Surprise BFP after 3rd failed treatment cycle!!!    2/24: m m/c @ 10w0d

4/11: Natural Cycle = BFP!!

    I'm so sorry about the cancelled cycle. :( ((hugs)) I hope that the next step in the process turns out much better than the first.

    I'm just quoting this out, because you verbalized pretty well how I'm feeling about my own journey right now. DH and I aren't going forward with any more treatment/RE for a while because I have it in my head that it will happen when it's meant to. I'm pretty sure if it doesn't happen in another 6 months to a year though, that I will have to deal with the reality that this just won't be easy for us, that I'm just not willing to face right now.

    I'm so sorry this cycle didn't work out for you sweetie. ((Big hugs)) I hope your next step is in the right direction and maybe you can start off 2011 with a BFP.

    I'm so sorry about the cancelled cycle. ((hugs))

     I was much more upset my first cancelled cycle than I was about moving on to the RE, so I can understand where you are coming from. I hope a new plan is just what you need to get your bfp.

    Thanks ladies. It's nice to have a place to verbalize how I'm feeling with out have to say it out loud to DH sometimes. I like to tell him that my pessimism balances out his blind optimism but sometimes I don't want to hear him say that everything will eventually work out. It's good to have other people out there who know what you're going through. DH and I are obviously going through this together but I'm the one with the problem so sometimes I feel like he just doesn't understand how broken I feel.

    So sorry.

    Hoping 2011 brings the BFP.

    TTC since November 2009. DH diagnosed with sperm antibodies. IUI #1 = BFN IUI #2 = BFN On the road to IVF.... Egg Retrieval Jan 21, 2011 16 eggs retrieved Egg transfer Jan 26, 2011 Only 2 viable eggs transferred. 1 IVF, 1 ICSI IVF #1 = BFP :-) 10/3/11 No heart beat at 38 weeks: Our baby Jack became an angel 12/14/11 = natural BFP Rainbow baby Samantha Jacklyn born8/8/12.     ((hugs)) It's beyond frustrating and disappointing when you take medications to make you produce follicles and your body still doesn't respond. I had to move onto injections too...and with that I still only produced one follicle.

    Good luck with your next cycle.

    ((hugs)) I had a canceled cycle on clomid and it was really tough for me. Injects aren't that bad, and I respond much better on them.

    Trying to grow our family with both fertility treatments and adoption since March 2009 
    IUIs#1-4 = BFN, IVF#1 = c/p, IVF#2 = OHSS, FET#1=BFP

    Thanks Orange! I needed to hear something like that and for some reason it just made me feel a little better :)
