past my due date and sick...need to vent

So I am only 1 day past my due date but still, being overdue is making me nuts, mostly because everyone seems to be bugging me about when my baby will be born.
I woke up today with the worst head cold I have had in my life! I mean literally everything hurts, my head, my nose, my eyes, my teeth even (stupid sinuses) I cannot breath, cannot talk, I am coughing like crazy which makes me gag because my throat is so swollen.
Its like a cruel joke...not only am I late delivering but I am going to probably be sick when the time does come.
Sorry just lack of sleep paired with feeling absolutely miserable is not a good combo. Hope everyone else is having a better day today

Take it easy today, watch some movies or whatever helps you relax. Rest is the best medicine for a cold. Hopefully that will clear up and baby will come before you know it!!! Best of luck!!
And, until actually being at the end of my pregnancy myself, i never realized how obnoxious it actually is to make comments like "wow, you're still pregnate!?"/ "Any signs of labor"/ "Think he'll come soon?" ...but wow is it annoying!! I'm hearing it from EVERYONE too. Hang in there!
I feel (some of) your pain! I have had a cold for the past 16 days. I think that it is finally getting better. But yeah, I cannot IMAGINE going into labor like this. They say you're supposed to be well rested because it's like a marathon. I can't do anything with this stupid cold! I also cough uncontrollably all of the time, and my nasal passageways are all clogged. How am I supposed to do relaxation breathing? I'm hoping the cold clears up asap and that the baby is on time (not early), so that there is still time for me to recover.
Sounds like you're in a worse situation because you're towards the beginning of your cold, yet you're due already. I hope you can make it through labor ok with a cold. But really I hope you have a super-fast recovery from your cold so that it's a non-issue.
Ugh. Being sick and pregnant is the WORST. I had an awful cold with a terrible cough that lasted forever.
My doc told me I could take plain Robitussin and plain Mucinex- they really helped with the chest and sinus congestion!
Hope you feel better soon! And turn off your phone so people don't bug you!
I turned my phone off and passed out for a good 3 hours this morning and boy was I glad I did, I woke up to 10 text messages and 2 missed calls...so thanks for that advise lol.
Yeah apparently every is telling me this cold that is going around lasts around 2 weeks....so chances are I will have it when I go into labor (whenever that is)
Being sick just makes me 10x more crabby, and your right the constant "why haven't you popped yet" comments are driving me mental!
Thanks for letting me vent this morning. I don't think I will leave my couch most of the day. I got a book in the mail "The Happiest Baby on the Block" and plan on reading that all day.
