Oh, MTV... look what you've done.

On the radio this morning they were talking about all the teenagers getting KU or trying to get KU so they can get on 16 and Pregnant. 

They had a 16 y.o. girl call in and say, "Yeah, um, I tried to get on American Idol, but they said I was too young so, um, I think it would be really cool to like have a baby and be on the show, you know? And I have a b/f and I see that the parents help these girls out a lot so I think it would be pretty cool.  And they make money and everything too so that would help.  I've just always really wanted to be on TV...."

After that my ears began to bleed so I had to change the station.

    Thats absolutely crazy!!! It is so sad that people are that stupid and think a baby is just a way to get on TV! They have no idea all the work and comitment that a baby needs! It is also really sad that there are so many of us going through what we are and if she had a baby of course hers would probably be perfectly healthy. :/

    Ugggh! And sadly, that naive under-prepared girl will probably be KU in the next few weeks with a very questionable baby daddy :(

    agreed!  It makes me crazy, some of us have to try so hard and are still empty handed and these teenagers are doing it to get on a TV show and like you said, they'll end up with perfectly healthy babies(that being said, I don't wish unhealthy babies or unhealthy pregnancies on anyone, no matter how naive they are) ..just so bitter about it all

    Oh Lord. If girls think that is the way to get on TV, having a baby at 16 might be the least of their problems.
