Anyone compare prices at places like target/costco/diapers.com....? For things like diapers, wipes, desitin.... I'd be grateful for the shared info. Thanks

I've been comparison shopping for almost two years and the consensus for the type of diapers I buy is there really isn't much of a difference.

I clip coupons from the paper and the mail and wait for a sale at Babies R Us which seems to usually be the cheapest way to go since they will often have $7 off a box or a $15 gift card with purchase.

Wipes and creams I buy at Target.

(FYI: I bought Pampers for a while, now Huggies)

This. Especially, now that I'll more than likely have 2 in diapers. Plus, I'll recoup some of the initial cost when I'm able to sell the diapers.

we rent and have to pay for laundry, I can't even imagine what cloth diapering would run for us. Good for you if you can though

Go to Amazon and sign up for their Amazon Mom program. They often have great deals and allow you to "stack" their coupons on top of that (which they publish in Parents magazine). You also get free shipping. I get diapers at roughly half price of what I had been spending at the store. I'm also a big fan of Costco brand wipes.

I have heard great things about the Costco Brand "Kirkland" wipes from other mommas and they were recommended in baby bargains as being great and dirt cheap!

As far as diapers go I always price them out "price per diaper" to see what the best deal is for the brand of diapers we use. We are using pampers swaddlers and the best price is at Sam's club. They are only $38 for a pack of 234. That's 17 cents a diaper which is pretty darn good.

Plus, with their "subscribe & save" program, you can save an extra 15%, and the diapers/wipes are delivered to your front door. Amazon Mom (which is free) + "subscribe & save" actually saves you 30%. And then you can use coupons too. I've heard you can get diapers for under $0.10 each this way.

As previouse posters have mentioned Amazon.com's subsribe and save paired with 20% off coupon codes from Parents and Parenting in the early years is a great way to get cheap diapers.

I also check www.babycheapskates.com a lot, they pair up great diaper sales with coupons. Rite aid often has really good deals on Huggies.

I've spent about 300 on cloth diapers, wipes, supplies, everything. They should last through two kids also.

I'll probably have to replace some of them before the next one from general wear. Most of them should last through another kid.

ETA. Oh, and plus they're freakin cute.

Yup...well minus the cloth wipes, I got a really great deal on wipes, I now have 4 cases...I should be good for awhile.

Being that this is our 2nd kid, we've found that it depends on what brand you want. If you like Pampers, we think Target usually has the best price, especially since a lot of the time they have deals like buy 2 boxes, get a $5 gift card. During the day, we use BJ's brand diapers. A lot of people use store brand during the day to save money. They don't have to be as comfy or absorbant because you are able to change the baby more often (although for the first couple months, I like to use swaddlers day and night). Some of the BJ's type places let you use 2 manufacturers coupons on one box, since their boxes are so much bigger than what say Target carries. For wipes, I get Target almost 100% of the time. I like their up and up brand, unscented. We used to buy balmex, but now we buy a tub of desitin. It is sooooo much cheaper than buying it in a tube (we still buy tubes for the diaper bag, but we use the tub at home). A 16 oz tub of desitin was $11-12, while a 4 oz tube is I think $5-6.
