We started out in disposables then switched to cloth around 3 months. I LOVE them but put him in disposables for a while when we moved (to avoid extra laundry). Then we did it because of a diaper rash, then one thing or another. Now, I feel like I can't get caught up on laundry to save my life. I want to go back, especially at home, but can't for some reason, lol.
Anyone else drifted away for one reason or another?
Re: Anyone drifted away from CD?
We miss you in Chatzy!
Thank you!! It only took me about 50 tries, lol. I was using a regular point and shoot with no flash so both had to be perfectly still- that obviously doesn't happen much with little ones.
Go Phils!!
I'll second that- I'm a sucker for sweater vests!!
Yep, same here. Once DD had a couple diaper rashes I gave up. Every time I put her in cloth lately she gets one again. I am thinking of giving them 1 more try and if she gets another rash I'll get rid of them.
They were also much easier during spring/summer because DD wouldn't have to wear pants, just dresses or bloomers over them. Jeans and most pants just don't fit right on DD with the cloth.
I did CD for the first 3 months, or so and then stopped once he outgrew them because 1. I won a year of free huggies and 2. I was having so many issues with BFing and DS sleeping that I just couldn't deal with anything else. I got back into them when DS was about 9 months, because a few friends were using gdiapers and I love them.
We never use cloth overnight, though. I just don't want to mess with sleep. I may try with baby #2.
We did part time CD at home (which was all the time in the beginning - we had a nanny until we moved at 16 months and I started SAH). Not overnight though. Around the time we moved I started using disposables and I also ran out of the diaper liners I like....and just never got around to ordering more. I need to get back to it though and order some off amazon. We have number 2 coming in June and I definitely plan to CD during the newborn phase. The BM poop is so much easier to deal with!
