Hello, I'm new to the board and new to pregnancy and parenthood! We're expecting twin girls in March and I'm delivering at Abington.
We're up to our eyes in baby prep right now and I need to get moving on choosing a pediatrician because my pre-admission paperwork is due! We'd like to find a practice that has experience with multiples and preemies with locations in the Horsham/Willow Grove/Ambler area and we're willing to travel as far as Lansdale.
P.S. Are there any other twin Mom's Mommy's- to- be that post here regularly?
TIA!
Re: Introduction and pedi recs for twins in Montco/Abington
I'm in that area as well (I live in Horsham) - good luck with the search!
Congrats on your twins. You should check out the multiples board on the bump. It is very helpful. I had my twin girls at Abington and they were wonderful. Unfortunately they were in the NICU for two weeks but those nurses were great.
I take my girls to Holland pediatrics. I go to the Holland office on Buck Rd. But they have a few different offices.
I had my triplets at Abington. I loved it there. My guys also spent 2 weeks in the NICU but the NICU staff there is awesome. I second the previous poster in checking out the multiples board. They have tons of info. I am also a member of the bucks/mont Mother's of multiples club. If you want any info let me know. I live up in Perkasie so we take my trio to Kids first central bucks which I think would be a little far for you.
Congrats and good luck getting ready for your babies!
Thanks! I really appreciate your response...obviously this is all new to me. Your triplets are adorable and I'm sure you have your hands full.
I actually joined the bucks/mont group as a perspective member a few weeks ago. Looking forward to meeting the group in person next year!
I may be in touch with you for advice in the near future!
Welcome!
Although I do not have multiples I have to brag about Abington Peds. They are located in Jamison and Abington. We live in Plymouth Meeting so I try to go to the Abington office but have been to Jamison if need be. There are a lot of doctors in the practice and while recently some have left they are bringing in new doctors who I feel that I can relate to on a personal level.
If you ever have any questions and you call the office someone gets back to you very quickly. Their website is helpful because it has articles about how to treat DD at home and when to call them.
Good luck!
