Work FH Vent

So there are 3 of us managers at my store, one our our managers was transferred out in september and we got this female manager who was just coming back from maternity leave. She knew about my twin loss since gossip goes quick from store to store in my company. When she came I gave her some slack in the beginning, but she wouldn't let up with the baby talk. I hear about how often her baby poops, what it looks like, about her nephews poop who is a week older than her daughter. Even people at work who haven't had a loss are tired of her. I told her about my other loss this summer and said please I can't hear every detail about your daughter.

When she didn't get the hint my district manager who I'm friendly with started talking to her. He talked to her for the third time last week when I was on vacation. She in turn complained to the other manager in the store how unfair it is that just because of my losses she can't talk about her baby every second of the day. He didn't tell her she couldn't, he just told her to try and not talk about it all day and no one wants to hear all those details about her baby. She said I should be over my losses and be happy for her. I haven't seen her since I heard about her complaining but I'm going to talk to her about it friday.

That sucks. I hope you can work something out with her. But seriously who needs to talk about that crap at work??? I hope she gets the message soon and shuts up.

She sounds like a real pill. It is not like you are telling her to pretend that her daughter does not exist, just that every single conversation does not have to be about her. I hope that she gets the message or transfers out.
