If u had a D&C, how long...

...did it take for ur beta to drop to zero?  I am 2 weeks out, and still at 54.7.  I get retested in a week.

I just don't like that I am clearly not pregnant, but my body thinks it still is.  GRRRRRRRRRR

  • I didin't have a D+C, but after my first m/c and i had a "period" it took a good 2.5 to 3 weeks for it to go back down to what they consider negative.  it felt like it was just adding insult to injury having to go back soooo many times.

this is how i feel too. I have my wtf, on thursday...so i asked to take the beta then.  To get up at the crack of dawn, to monitor my pregnancy loss is not what i want to do.

  • Neither of my REs checked my levels after my D&Cs. My post op was today, and he didn't mention it either. I still feel a little pregnant. i hope your levels go down soon.

Me too, a little bloated still.  My RE requires me to be monitored down to zero.  That's a lot of testing.

  • It took me 6 weeks to get my first post-d&c period. At 4 weeks my beta was still in the 60's. So it dropped pretty quickly the last 2 weeks.

  • I had a D&C in September at 7 weeks- At first my betas plumeted.  Once I got to 74 however they took forever to drop.  I was being tested 1x a week and I want to say it was about 2 weeks once it got low.  So overall it was almost 4 weeks :(  Then I O'd and AF showed.  So my cycle was a little more than 6 weeks from date of D&C.

  • Mine took a while too. I MC at 12 weeks. I finally decided to take a week off of the blood testing to see if I was back to less than 5. I decided it didn't matter b/c I would get my period if it was low enough. My doctor's office didn't like my attitude but I didn't see the point then and still don't see the point. All that time to go get a blood draw, energy to wait for it, insurance copay $ and time out of work or lost sleep -- for what? It didn't hurt to skip a week and it did me a lot of good! :-)
TTC since 4/2009 (with RE since 8/10) Got pregnant on our own 12/09. MC 3/2010 IUI #1 & 2 unsuccessful (Sept & Oct 2010) IVF #1 9 follicles, 5 eggs, 4 fertilized, 4 transferred. Chemical pregnancy. Bad news received Thanksgiving 2010. IUI #3 Chemical pregnancy (12/2010 double IUI) IUI #4 Success! (2/7/2011 & 2/8/2011 double IUI) ultrasound 3/8/2011 determined there are four ultrasound 3/17/2011 showed one not developing so we're down to 3 unltrasound 3/23/2011 showed Baby C had stopped developing so we're at twins. Same ultrasound showed good measurement and heartbeats for babies A and B. Due date is Oct. 31, 2011 (for singleton so twins will probably be earlier) BabyFetus Ticker

This sums up how i feel.  I can't control it...so why can't i at least get some sleep, and save the copay.
