Back from our kid-free vacation! And update to $ question

DH's 30th birthday was last weekend, we went to an amazing hotel at the beach and stayed 2 nights.  We went wine tasting, watched the new Denzel movie (which was really good!), ate and drank at fancy restaurants, watched 2 football games, had lots of intimate time (lol Wink), long walks on the beach, and DH bought me 2 new purses!  It was fabulous.  Oh and I took about 5 bubble baths, our room had this giant jacuzzi tub, it was awesome!

Our daycare provider kept DD overnight for 2 nights, it worked out really well.  When I went to write her the check, I said "so I don't think $50 a night is enough, and I'd like to pay you $100 per night" and she said "No, Jen, $50 per night is more than enough, I insist", so I paid her $50 per night, and I also gave her $40 for pizza.  She said DD slept like a dream, and her girls loved having DD for a "sleepover".

I'm so happy it all went well.

    Thanks girls!  I was feeling REALLY burnt out lately, with DH's new long hours, and we've all been sick for the past 3 weeks with colds, croup, the flu, etc.  It was MUCH needed for me and DH to reconnect.  I'm so glad we went!  We love each other again, lol.
