PIP: your jewelry lust

The Kay Jewelers thread about chocolate diamonds reminded me of the piece of jewelry I lust for (and I am not even much of a jewelry person).

6 carats of rough cut chocolate diamonds surrounded by micro pave pink diamonds and set in rose gold.  Yummy! It'll never happen, since I think it's about $8000 or so.

What is the item you fantasize about DH giving you? (jewelry, or not).

    A Cartier Tank watch and diamond stud earrings.  It old him I was willing to wait on the earrings until we could afford a carat in each ear...I might be waiting for awhile haha!

    Haha!  I am with you on the diamond studs. I want them to be a carat each!  Of course, I would be terrified of losing them, if DH ever actually got them for me. Maybe some nice cubic zirconia.

    The one thing I really want is a custom eternity band with emeralds, alexandrite and diamonds (May and June's birthstones), but since real alexandrite is hard to come by, I'd settle for to stacking rings like this: image

    Also, I really want a diamond pendant and ear rings.

    ooo yes!  I love stacking birthstone rings to commemorate a baby's birth or eternity bands.  So much classier than those "Mother's Rings" that I often see advertised.

    Long time is right - FIL gave MIL a pair two years ago for their 30th Anniversary. I guess I have 27.5 years to go. To his credit, they are a carat each and stunning in quality, he sprang over 20K for them (and he's pretty frugal).

    Nice!  Well if our DH's save a $1000 a year (since they will probably cost more by then), they can buy them for us easy by then!

    I would love a bezel-set solitaire necklace (sort of like this), but the price just puts it off-limits.  I'm kind of considering a topaz version instead, but we'll see.
