Breast Pump Vendor- Blue Cross

It looks like my insurance, Empire Blue Cross Blue Shield, will cover my breast pump at 100% (wow!) provided I purchase the pump from an "in-network" provider.  Using their online search is difficult, since it pulls up every medical supply store (most of which don't sell breast pumps).  Did anyone buy a breast pump at a medical supply store in the Boston area?  I'd love to hear recommendations.  I'm in Southern NH and really new to the area.  Thank you!

    My insurance covered my breast pump as well. I ended up getting the pump at the hospital when DD was born.  It was very convenient and a lactation consultant was able to show me how it worked.  If you're interested, call to check if you can get one through the hospital.

    Lucky girl!  You might want to call Empire to get a specific in-network reference from them.  In my modest experience doing insurance billing with them on the provider side of things, they have been very slow to pay claims, putting up unnecessary roadblocks in the process.  The more information you get expressly from them, the better.

    I have Blue Cross and went to Cambridge Medical Supply. they have both medela and ameda brands.

    How did you find out that your insurance covered a breast pump? Did you just call up the hotline?

    FYI- Blue Cross Blue Shield will only cover the breast pump with a script from a lactation consultant. I called member services to get it ahead of time and it is not covered unless you are having problems which a lactation specialist would need to document. This is likely why you were given one in the hospital.
