Christmas/birth announcement cards?

DS was born August 25th, do you think it's too late to do birth announcements? I wasn't planning on doing them but then thought hey maybe i'll do a 2 for 1 and do Christmas cards that double as birth announcements. Only problem is i'm having trouble finding a card that will allow enough text for me to include all of his birth information. Some places have "christmasy" birth announcements but I haven't found one I like.  DH thinks because of facebook many of our friends and family know when he was born and how much he weighed and we should just do the regular Christmas card. I just want to decide asap so we can send them out.

Thoughts?

If you did this can you PIP? TIA!!

  • I sent out seperate birth announcements, but I've seen them on www.tinyprints.com and www.peartreegreetings.com

  • A lot of the cards have greetings on the back that you can alter/modify.  Maybe you can fit the stats in there?
  • DD was born Aug 26th and we didn't do announcements but on our holiday cards (which include her santa photo and a newborn photos) it is signed from Husband, Wife and (on a separate line) Harlie Wynne, born August 26, 2010.  We figure anyone who really cared about how much she weighed, etc already knows (and has most likely forgotten, lol).
  • My DD was born Aug 25th too! I never got around to doing announcements either :( but I don't think it's too late for you. That's a great idea to combine it, you could make it really cute. I would do it too but I have a step-son and it would be weird to leave him out of the Christmas greetings.
