I'm on my way to the hospital shortly -- I'd go sooner but I'm not at all packed and only a couple minutes ago did I find somebody to take care of Kira this afternoon. I've been leaking fluid since I lost my mucus plug yesterday morning -- a totally different ballgame than when I went into labor with Kira! So, I'm feeling good, regular contractions from 5:00-7:00 this morning but not so much now, but the continuous fluid is the concern.
My family isn't planning on coming until the 23rd, but my sister is now going to try to get on a plane from Seattle tomorrow, so she'd be here tomorrow night.
Part of the logistic issue is that I live in W-S but I'm delivering in GSO, so we can't very easily go back and forth, esp. if and while I'm in labor!
Today was the first day I had with nothing on the calendar in weeks, so laundry, packing, etc. (all things that I haven't come close to starting) were on my to do list for today anyway. And we were fully expecting to have this weekend to get stuff done too -- yikes!
Wish me luck -- I'll keep you posted as I'm able! Thanks for your love and support, friends!
Re: baby doesn't seem to want to wait until Christmas...
Wow - how exciting!
Thanks, everyone! A, right now I have someone to get Kira after school at noon, and Rami is trying to find a neighbor to help with Salem, at least for this afternoon and tonight. If my sister comes tomorrow night, that would be a huge help! For now we're kind of minute to minute about this whole thing.
Can you tell I'm in denial?!?
ETA: Rami found a neighbor to check on Salem tonight -- thanks so much for offering, A!!!
