I just hung up with my midwife, and she wants me to go in in a couple hours.  I just had a regular weekly appt. yesterday with updates (mucus plug gone as of yesterday morning and 2 cm dilated) but no concerns...alas, things have changed!
I don't know if this is it, mainly because I'm in massive denial, but the baby seems to think it is!
My hospital this time is in the next city 40 minutes away, so not very easy for us to run back and forth.  I really, really want to see Kira's little Christmas play at preschool on Friday.  And this weekend is open for us to get ready, since we were out having wintry fun this past weekend.  My car was supposed to be ready on Monday, then yesterday, now today....
Off to pack a makeshift hospital bag for me, and to find somebody to watch Kira for today or possibly a few days.  My family won't be here until the 23rd!
Hopefully I'll be back home this afternoon with an update. If not, well, yowza!
Please send your most peaceful vibes!  I want to be pg for 3 more weeks!
(Sing along: "All I want for Christmas is to be pregnant, to be pregnant, to be pregnant....

Good luck!! Hopefully baby decides to wait a little longer before making an appearance! DD did that to us though. We had planned on finishing the cleaning/getting ready on Friday... my water broke on Wednesday (at 38w3d) and she was here on Thursday
I'll send some stay pregnant vibes your way
er, good luck? Here's to false alarms and an over-cautious midwife.
See you here later on ;-)

"our IF story"
THANK YOU THANK YOU everyone! M, you're welcome to hit the road right now, LOL! The scoop is that I've been leaking fluid since I lost my mucus plug yesterday. I was having contractions 7 min apart from 5:00-7:00 this morning, but they've slowed, which is helpful if only because the break is allowing me to make phone calls and pack. I would be waiting a long time to go in based on contractions only, but I'm concerned about the fluid. I called my midwife yesterday about it but she was at a delivery until 2am, so we didn't get to talk until 8 this morning.
I just found somebody to pick up Kira after school ends at noon today. My sister is thankfully offering to hop on a plane from Seattle tomorrow morning, but she'd be here for just 4ish days. Just...wow!
Thank you again for all of your kind wishes!

I was confused too..so thanks for clarifying all the while you may be ready to deliver...lol
So good luck whichever way it goes!!!!
Sorry, I didn't intend to be vague! I just meant that something is definitely happening that definitely wasn't happening 25 hours ago!
Somehow leaking fluid seemed a bit TMI, though of course nothing is too TMI for SaIF among friends.
Thankfully I just found my packing list from Kira's birth on my computer, or I know I'd be leaving out a ton! I hate hate hate being last minute -- today was finally my day to do these things anyway!

Are you having contractions? I'm confused!
Hope she stays put for a bit longer!!!
GL and keep us posted
Thank you! Only a very few mild contractions since 7:00 this morning -- the issue is the loss of fluid.
DH is talking to car insurance right now. ::bangs head::

Oh, leaking fluid... That sounds like baby may very well be coming whether you want her to or not. Hang in there! Everything will work out one way or another. (This is what I keep telling myself, too, haha.)
Good luck, A!!!!!!
