CD1 question

So, I know this is a REALLY basic question, but here goes:

 

 Is CD1 the day you start spotting or the day AF comes in full force?

I always have 2-3 days of spotting first, but I counted the first "full" flow day as CD1. I just read something that said to count the first day of spotting as CD1.

Help! Maybe this is why I'm not pregnant yet! LOL

    I have always counted the first day of the full flow also. I just put in my info on monthlycycles.com and it will tell me my avg. cycle length, ovulation, etc. But for the most part it is just a guestimate for me since I just put in the average lengths and haven't done any hard core charting yet. I get confused easily. lol. For the most part, when I use the full flow as my first day, cycle length seems to be more consistent. Hope this helps :)

    I count it as red "flow" (though its not really) because I have super light periods. Sometimes I'll need a tampon for an hour or two a day and then all I'll need is a liner for the next 12 hours and then it repeats.

    I usually have a few days of spotting too and I would always count that as CD1 too. The pp's are correct though, spotting doesn't count.

    I usually spot for a day before AF actually arrives - I don't mark it officially until a pad/tampon is needed for actual flow.

    I spot for 3-4 days before AF (awesome, right??) and I count CD1 as the first day of flow. GL!!
