Croup

Poor DS had croup early Sunday morning and now for the last 3 days has had a nasty cough (not croupy though) a nose that won't stop running and is drooling since he has to breath through his mouth. We haven't had a good night sleep in 3 days since he is coughing throughout the night which wakes him up and he cries. If your lo had croup when did they start to feel better?

    DD had croup several weeks ago and she had a cough for about a week. The only thing that helped to get her to sleep through the night (her cough would constantly wake her up) is I kept a warm bottle of milk or warm water next to her crib, so as soon as she would begin coughing, I'd give her a few sips and she would fall back asleep. Good luck, hope it goes away soon!

    Once he got the medicine from the doctor it went away in about 3 days.

    the croup went away pretty quickly (he had it twice, the second time requiring oral steroids) but his little cough stuck around about a week I think.

    It got better nearly immediately after a breathing treatment followed by oral steroids
