My SIL has had a list for a couple years now, and they aren't even TTC. I just got to thinking about it today. DH wants to name our kids after family, but I rather pick new (to us) names. I'm curious as to what you all are planning.

We do... Nothing set in stone, but there are very few names that DH and I agree on! When we named DD we used family names for both her first and middle name, so I feel ok not using a family name this time.

We've been talking names for a long time. My rules: Easy to say/spell; must be a real name; unusual & rare; British vibe.

Girl name will likely be Philippa (Pippa), boy is a toss up between Rex or Casper. All middle names will be my maiden name (my parents did this too).

(Yes. I'm aware these names are not very popular. Yes, I'm also aware Casper was a friendly ghost.)

We have names for both a boy and a girl. But we still shout name ideas out at each other.

Lately I've been suggesting names that I like for a girl, but when he hears it he thinks boy. Not sure if we will be able to get passed that! Lol

LOVE Casper! And love the maiden name for middle name part. I want to use my mother's maiden name, but my DH won't give in.

We haven't even talked about it yet. We had a heck of a time agreeing on a name for DD since we have totally opposite taste in names. I'm not looking foward to going through that again, LOL.

Nice choices! I associate all of those names with really unique/creative personalities.

We've had many names over the past years of TTC but I think we may like Addison Alise (sounds like Elise) for a girl. And for a boy we just have a middle name right now as we're back to square - we believe it will be Andrew lol.

Girl's name is picked out- Avery Renee. Renee is after my bestie/cousin who passed away from cancer almost 3 years ago. I am realllly hoping to have a girl in part because I really want to do this to honour my cousin.

I like your choices! I really like Bennett, and Eden is my dream girl's name, if it didn't clash so horribly with our last name.

My BFF's name is Stephanie Mae and her daughter is Kaylee Mae. They both love it. Her daughter is six, so she probably mostly loves it b/c it's the same as mommy's, but she always goes by Kaylee Mae. I think it's cute and we have considered it as a middle name if we have a girl to honor my BFF.

We do: If we have a boy, he will be named after DH, because he is a junior, so James Robert III. If it's a girl, right now we like Rachel Linden. Linden was my Dad's middle name.

We don't have them picked, but we casually talk about names we like! So far, we aren't having too much luck with boys names. I've always loved Nicholas and Matthew. We go back and forth with girls names all the time. This week (haha) we like Grace, Lila, Kylie, Callie, and Sophia. Names are so fun to think about!

We have tossed stuff back and forth, but haven't come up with much that we agree on yet. The only name that we seem to agree on is for a girl - Autumn. Fall is our favorite time of year and when we got married, so we both really like it!

We have it narrowed down. We're big on family names, especially on my side of things.

A boy would be either James Terry or James Andrew. James is FIL's name and MH's middle name. Terry is my dad's name (and my name, spelled with an i). Andrew is MH's name.

For a girl, we both like a couple of names, and dream of eventually having 2 DDs to use both... but we disagree on which wold be "first".

MH likes Joanna (nickname Joey). I like Creda (Latin for Faith). MH is finishing his Master's in Theology, and he has to write a big final paper, a statement of belief called a Credo. Creda would be the feminine form, and I think it's appropriate to use that name first since he'll be writing the credo during the pregnancy. For a mn, we've talked about Lee (my middle name and mom's middle name) or Meadows, my mom's maiden name. Time will tell.
