I'm due in about 6 weeks, though my dr thinks I'll be going early. I was very lucky to get myself some used Thirsties diaper covers(with the help of a very kind woman I met here), but hubby and I fell on really hard times and I'm unable to proceed from there. I need cloth diapers (like the prefolds or flats, or inserts) and other accessories. Does anyone know where around central MN I could find a donation center or anything? I've had ads on Craigslist for a couple months now and not one reply. I've also tried FreeCycle with no results. I've been watching eBay and as cheap as a lot of them are going for, I really can't afford them. Thanks!
Re: Cloth diapers?
I am so sorry to hear about your hard times, but I think you will be really hard-pressed to find some free cloth diapers.
Most people that know anything about cloth diapers know that CDs with life left in them have a reasonable re-sale value, and they sell them and use the proceeds to invest in the next size for their child or re-coup part of their original investment.
I think you would just have to get lucky and find a generous soul or someone that knows nothing about cloth diapers that happened to have some.
Sorry I can't be more help!

teenygreenies.com, but I believe they have a wait list. There is also miracle diapers, but they are closed for new applications as well.
New prefolds are not expensive. Around 20 dollars a dozen. You should be just fine with 2 dozen to start off. I have snappis you can have, but I am planning on selling my diapers. I can't afford to not recoup some of my cost. I was thinking of selling my prefolds for 10/dozen plus shipping. If you would want them, we could meet somewhere to not have shipping costs. I have 3 or 4 dozen total.
Found it!
