Daycare called and said that they noticed some red rash on DS today and just wanted us to know. It does not seem to bother him--acting totally normal. He's had a cold but no fever and the cold is almost gone at this point. The rash is in small blotches--about 2 inches across but not circular or raised. In the rash are 1-3 very small/tiny bumps. These blotches and bumps move around.
There's been no change to detergent, soap, etc. The only food I can think of is that he had raspberries last night with dinner and he hasn't had them in quite awhile but the rash didn't show up until during the day at daycare (didn't notice it this morning). I've looked at pictures of roseola, fifth's disease, chicken pox, etc. and it's not any of those. I googled bed bug and noseeum bites and it doesn't look like those either. I just can't figure out what it is!
I'm going to call the pedi in the am and see what they say but just curious if anyone has dealt with anything like this.
Re: diagnose my DS
Liam gets dry skin patches this time of year too, especially on his thighs, but they are definitely raised and dry feeling.
Where is the rash? Has he ever had Hand Foot Mouth? This usually shows up on the hands and feet but can go up the arms/legs too, and is also common in the diaper area.
