She'll be 16 months on December 20 and no sign of starting to walk on her own. Any other late walkers out there? Is there anything I should be doing to help her along?

It seems like late walkers just "up and walk" - like they could have done it for months, but didn't feel so inclined - thankyouverymuch. I think up to 18 months is still in the "normal" range. So if she isn't walking by then her pedi will probably want to get her evaluated - but even that doesn't mean there is anything *wrong*.

Margaux will only walk if someone holds her hand. All we're doing is walking with her whenever she wants to, and encouraging her to try it herself now and then.
Hey, I didn't know you were of the BFP brigade! Congratulations on making it through the first trimester!
Aaron started walking the day before he turned 15 months?nearly 4 weeks ago. Though he'll still crawl if he wants to get somewhere quickly.
I was somewhat worried about him walking later, but I know I shouldn't have been because *I* didn't walk until 17 months and my DH was almost 18 months when he started.
It's not considered a delay until 18 months, so she has time.
Sarah was almost exactly the same as Aaron - she started walking a few days before she turned 15 months. For her, it was really very sudden - she had taken assisted steps for many months (like half a year), but then suddenly she just got up and walked across the room. She is now really good at it and never falls. She stopped crawling entirely as soon as she figured out walking. It was so funny before though - she is so tall and all the other kids her age are much shorter and all already walked, and this big girl was crawling around. People thought she was 2 years old and still crawling...

THis is Raquel...guess she'll do it in her own time...apparently she's not type A like her mommy.

We're nearly 14 mo. and C has only taken a few steps between the furniture. So far, he has no real interest in walking much.
Honestly, I would rather he walk late.. less chasing that way.
