Ladies - was hoping you could give me some ideas as to what I can give Brenna....during the week, I only give her dinner and it has to be quick b/c she is often in meltdown mode. Weekedns I have more time to experiment with her. She'll basically eat anything you put on her tray.
So far, I've given her toast, grilled cheese, broccoli, bread, apple sauce, canned peaches, yogurt.....but other than that, I'm still giving her jarred meals....and the variety is very limiting.
What are some sample meals you give LO?
Re: Table food for almost 9-month old
Logan is eating anything we are eating at this point. Last night I made one of DH's childhood favorites...green bean casserole. It's not the traditional green bean casserole. It has hamburger in it and biscuits on top. He really liked it. I will say though, he hasn't disliked anything yet.
He had his first grilled cheese last week and loved it. He really likes chicken. I boiled some chicken tenders the other night for him. Green beans, peas, carrots, mashed potatoes, lasagna, mac & cheese. He loves it all!
I understand about meltdown mode. I normally give him some puffs to tied him over while I'm making dinner. It normally works.
Fish sticks are a winner at our house. I made a roast in the crockpot a few weeks ago. Loved it! Like I said, he isn't picky.
OMG.. you girls are SO lucky to have a baby that will eat anything!!! Maybe it's just a phase, but C is very hot and cold about table food right now.
Last night's dinner was raisins and black olives. I managed to get him to eat a little pureed peas, but nothing else was going down, except onto the floor! Today's lunch was the same, only he would only eat bread and a couple of goldfish.
That being said.. at 9 months I think he was still pretty dedicated to the purees. Heck, he still likes that better than most things. But I second cut-up grapes, puffs, pastas---he really likes the Classic Suddenly Salad stuff.. very savory. I'll also admit, I have a stash of McD's unsalted french fries in the freezer just in case of emergency. Maybe I'll try them tonight.
OOOOOH Girl!! I would hate to have changed that diaper!
LOL! Beans, sweet potatoes and corn are all tied for creating the worst poopy diapers. And my kid loves them all.
