Did you get just a plain old flu shot or did your OB make you find someplace that had mercury free shots? My OB was pretty insistent on the mercury free thing, but every other doc I have talked to said they had never heard of that being a problem.
I am a health care provider and they do provide us with flu shots here at work, but i was putting if off thinking I needed to find a mercury free version, but now I am thinking I should just take the ones they have here at the hospital.
TIA, Ladies!
Re: If you already got your flu shot.....
this.
I just got the regular one; the pharmacist (who gives them at Walgreens where I got mine) said the regular shot has MUCH less mercury in it then one serving of fish (which we can eat a few times a week.) I figured that was fine. My OB didn't seem concerned about it being either mercury or thimerosol free (although I think I automatically got the perservative free one because I was pregnant. I remember the pharmacist going to look it up before giving it to me.)
I have had my flu shot--and did get the thimerosol free version. BUT, when I asked my OB about it--he didnt seem all that concerned over which one I got. I went to Walgreens to get my shot, and the pharmacist was HEAD STRONG about giving me the T-free one, so thats what I got.
