Success after IF

anyone's toddler "talk" incessantly?

for some reason every late afternoon/early evening ginny will not stop talking. most of the time she is making noises and throwing in words here and there. this is our "wind-down time" but she is clearly ready to go! it's just babble babble babble babble. 9 times out of 10 it's cute but when I want to watch 15 minutes of the news I can't hear a thing. anyone else experience something similar?

  • Yeah, we have that a lot around here! Especially in the car. I will hear a bellow of "MA MA". I say "What Hayden?" and then lots of babble babble and laughing at whatever he just said. He thinks he is hilarious!

  • Ben talks all the time, but a lot of the time I can understand what he's asking/saying and it's not just babble. He also has a way to distract me when I'm trying to watch something.

  • at this very moment it's "hi lulu" over and over and over again. yes, it's cute, but...

    ;)

  • OMG...this child is non stop chatter.  Sometimes its words - probably less words than Ginny has - but so much of it is just babbling.  I guess he kinda gets it from me, so I can't complain.  Man, I wish that kid had his dad's personality!

  • Yes, mine talks constantly.  And if you're trying to do something else, like talk to another adult or hear something (tv, phone), he gets LOUDER.  On purpose.
  • All day, every day. Katen has a hard time settling down to sleep because she's in her room talking to herself apparently. She never shuts up.  :) I love it most days. She's got quite a vocabulary and quite a wild imagination.
