Two Under 2

How in the world do you manage if #1 isnt walking yet?!

Quite honestly, I cant imagine doing this if DD had been younger & not walking! Just out of curiosity, how do you do everything? You must have arms of steel:)

  •

Can't answer your question since my #1 was walking at 9 months, but your siggy is adorable!

  • I have made it work for three months! You just do it! You have no other choice. Lots of trips back and forth! Park next to the cart corral at the store, try to run errands when DH is home if you can. I make late walkers! My DS1 walked at 17 months, and DS2 here is not walking yet, so we still have a bit to go.
  • A lot of thinking about logistics. But really that would be my only reason not to have two this close again. I had terrible sciatica at the end of my pregnancy and carrying ds1 didnt help. By the end of the day I could barely put weight on my left leg. It still hurts but not as bad.

  • I'm not quite there yet (and my DS is starting to walk now), but I thank my chiropractor since I dont have any back pain at all. I can't imagine how the PP did it with sciatica! OUCH!

Honestly, I think having kids further apart is much harder! I'm watching my friend who has a 3 year old who is used to being the only child/throwing temper tantrums and acting out, and I think having 2 kids not walking for a few months is a much better trade-off than dealing with that!

This.  You just do it.    I can easily balance Natalie on one hip and hold the infant carseat carrier in the other, plus have a diaper bag slung over my shoulder, while ushering Olivia in which ever door we need to be going in.

btw:  I only say easily now because I've had to do it, a lot.  So, I've had practice:)

  • I have been doing this for 2.5 months now.  Like the PPs said - you just do it.

I have the 1 yr old on my hip, and the baby in the carrier.  You have to pick up the 1 yr old first (well after the bags on the shoulder lol)

I don't have the ability to put one in the car and run back into the house - we don't park near our house.

  • My #3 isn't born yet but I'm used to it with the twins. I can only imagine how I will handle 3 until the twins learn to walk.

  • My DS didn't start walking until DD was about 4.5 months old.  My double stroller and or bjorn/single stroller were my saviors.  :)

  • My first didn't walk till my second was 3 months old.  The baby carrier was my savior.  :-)

  • it's easier having 2 that can't walk then it is having 3 that can... and run in 3 directions :)

times are crazy these days for me!!
