Twins?

Posted this on 1st tri board but realized I might get more response here :)

Well my first appointment is scheduled for dec 15 when i will be 8.5 weeks. Twins runs in my family both on my mother and fathers sides, so I realize there is a chance. Already the few people who know the news have said its twins & one even had a dream! Last night I was told I look a little farther along then 7 wks (not sure how i feel about that haha), have gained maybe a pound or so.But it does seem like my uterus is higher than where I would expect it & there is no mix up on dates so I am sure of 7 wks! Always wanted twins! Any twin mommies feel it early on they were having twins? Any experiences to share?

    I knew there was a possibility due to meds and at 8 weeks my pants were already snug.  We found out at 8 weeks it was twins.

    We had no idea until our 12 week ultrasound. I hadn't gained anything prior to that appt and had no morning sickness or anything. Im 18 weeks now and still would have no idea if we hadn't had the early ultrasound for NT scan. Twins run in my family but I still never suspected lol.

    Like I said Ive maybe gained 1lb if that, and only one experience with m/s. When I asked about ultrasound they said the first would be at 20 wks, but now with a high history of twins I may see if they will look earlier for me. I just have this feeling its twins.

    If you opt for a Nuchal Translucency test, they'll do an ultrasound at 12 weeks

    I had NO clue I was having multiples until the NT scan at 12 weeks.  At 8 weeks I was measuring 8 weeks (for a singleton pregnancy).

    I know this is weird and all but I KNEW I was having twins right from the second! Before my ultra sound I used to sleep with two hands on my belly, one for each baby :)

     I told my dr there were two in there at my ulta sound, he literlly called me crazy lol.  Sure enough two!! My dr. just kept saying to me," how the hell did you know"

     

    I don't know how I know I just did, still gives me goose bumps to tell this story :)

    Born at 36 Weeks, 2 Days

    I was extremely nauseous and exhausted... which I hadn't experienced with my first pregnancy. Then at 9-weeks I started bleeding heavily enough to go to the hospital where they did a US and we found out we were having twins. Turns out the bleeding was nothing to be worried about. Big Smile I'm really tall so I didn't notice getting any bigger but it does explain the extreme nausea and exhaustion.
