So last week I went in for my first mammogram. It was totally precautionary. My aunt had breast cancer in her 30s so my OB wanted to start my mammograms early. A nurse called today and they want my to come in on Friday for a few more shots of righty. She said they need a closer look a spot because they can't tell if it's normal tissue or something to worry about. At first I freaked out, but now I'm trying to stay positive and think good, healthy, normal tissue thoughts. If you've got some spare dust I could definitely use some healthy boob and anti-worrying dust. The good news is I should know the results immediately after the mammo. So yay for not having to wait through the weekend. Oh and please don't mention this on FB. I don't want to freak out my family and have them all upset.
Re: Dust Por Favor
Lots of healthy booby dust!!!

Dusting coming your way!!
My sister and a good friend were called to come back for a second look and for both of them it turned out just fine. One had a little fluid-filled cyst and the other was a fibroid.

I got a callback and then a followup mammogram plus ultrasound. I ended up having mine taken out (cyst) because it was bothering me, but all is well.
Healthy boob dust!
this, thinking of you froggi and hope all turns out well!
Lots of healthy boobie dust and no worries dust! My mom had a mammagram show spots that looked suspicious several years back. Turns out that she has particularly dense breasts and so now she frequently has to go back, just to check, but they haven't ever found anything to really worry about. She had silicone implants for about 10 years (but took them out about 15 years ago) but I think that's why she stays on top of it and possibly why they always call her back to double check.

I also have had to go back multiple times for ultra sounds (no mammograms for me, yet) and they've always been fibroid adanomas (sp?). I've had about three different biopsies that send me into a tizzy, but try to think positive and know that it could be about 100 different things that are totally normal and no big deal.
oh, and lots of (.)(.) dust to you!!!

A journey of building the dream.
Just for some more positiveity...same thing happened to me (at 30), scared the sh!t out of me, tons of tears and anxiety, and it was absolutely nothing. It's really, really, really common to get called back for your first, especially when you have a mammogram this young. We're just really full of dense tissue at this age.
Good for your doc (and you!) for being proactive!
