We live in NJ, it's in the 30's here now. We keep our thermostat at 64 during the day, 58 at night - except for Trevor's room, which we keep at 62 at night.
We're part of the "put a sweatshirt on if your cold" school of thought...heating oil is pricey

M-Th we run the oil and the thermostat stays at 62 during the day and 68 at nite when we get home...starting on thursday nites we get the wood stove going and run that through sunday and the house stays at a delightfully toasty 70-72ish...(it does stay cooler upstairs tho since the heat doesn't make it that far...probably 66ish I am guessing...we run the boiler on bath nites to warm up the bathroom/girls room as needed)
Wow, I'm surprised. We keep the thermostat at 67 when we are home and I thought that was high. Sometimes we'll put the fire place on at night if we are chilly.
68 in the winter and 72 in the summer - We grab a blanket and cuddle if it's chilly - we have a gas fireplace too.. so if it's too chilly we flip the switch!
Re: What temp. do you keep your house?
70/71
Every room in our house has really high ceilings, so we lose a lot of heat to that.

During the day, around 70. I turn my heat down at night to 66 or 67. I cant sleep when I am too warm and the upstairs gets warm when the heat is on.
