The last few days Rowan has been super whiny, fussy, not sleeping, etc. He's basically only had one nap the last few days and been VERY cranky because of this. I noticed he has 2 teeth coming in on the bottom and the finally popped through this morning. I figured we'd be almost over these sleep issues but, no
. Tonight and last night he's woken up screaming. When he wakes up we give him tylenol and I nurse him but I don't get it!
What else can I do? I guess I'll take him to the doctor tomorrow if he's like this then. I really don't think it's an ear infection (usually he refuses to nurse on one side and has had a cold beforehand) but maybe it is! We were just there like a week and a half ago. Ugh.
Has anyone tried amber teething necklaces? Anything else that can help? This is torture!
Re: teething hell - please help!
When Isabella's teething and it gets really bad at night ibuprofen is the only thing that helps. Tylenol doesn't seem to do anything for her teething pain. I try to reserve the ibuprofen for night only, and even then only when it's really bad since it can be hard on the tummy.
The only thing that we did when Andrew got older was Motrin! He doesn't like teethers anymore, and doesn't like the frozen wash cloth or the mesh bag things, although will occasionally use his vibrating star teether.
Motrin is the only thing that will even touch Evan's teething pain. And we too, try to only use it at night or when nothing else has worked. As far as other remedies...well, my kid only wants to chew on mommy, lunging at me, mouth open...it really hurts when he actually gets me, if i'm not paying attention.
Again, I guess I'm no help! Sorry! Oh, but this might help...Evan likes frozen blueberries and strawberries...maybe that will work?
