BBB twin discount question

We will be ordering our cribs this weekend and I was wondering about the twin discount at BBB. Is it 10% total or 10$ off each crib? I'm thinking total, but a girl can dream, right?

Re: BBB twin discount question

  • You mean BRU?  Their discount is 10% off two of the same item over $50.

  • I think it's 10% off the second item; however, at least at our store, they won't give the discount if you're also using a coupon.  Because you can use the 20% off a single item Bed Bath & Beyond coupons, I would recommend just doing that...much better deal.  If you can convince them to also give you the twin discount, then that's even better! (it's worked for me before).  Ask to talk to a manager and tell them you are loyal to their store and that you would like the courtesy extended to you...you will be buying twice the merchandise, after all!  It's worth a try...

  • When I went before to look, one of the ladies in cribs told me I could stack the 20% off and 10%. Hopefully I will get the same response this time, but unfortunately I am going to a different one this time.

I am trying to run the numbers and see if I should just use two 20% off coupons and do two separate transactions. I think that would be a better deal.

  • It's funny you say that, bc that's actually what happened to me.  An employee told me I could stack the discounts and then they tried to say otherwise at checkout.  I complained nicely but persistently and it worked :)  Definitely do a coupon for each crib, though...

Another idea: I was given a 20% off your complete purchase coupon from Bed Bath and Beyond, so you might look into buying on e of those coupons online (ebay, etc.).  If you plan on purchasing a significant amount of stuff  at BBB it would probably be worth what the coupon would cost.

    Thanks for the tip!

  • BBB is 10% off the second item (I think) or that may be BRU. One of them only gives you a percentage off the second though. And you can't use it with a 20% off coupon, so the coupon is usually the better deal ;)
  • The week before thanksgiving, we bought our cribs.

BRU was having a 20% off of furniture sale and we got our 10% off twin discount, as well as we opened a credit card  (only put $100 on it, and paid it off already) so that we could get an ADDITIONAL 10% off!!!

So, at BRU, for our two cribs, we ended up getting a 40% discount!  I hope this helps you in any way, it was way worth it for us.  Good Luck!
