I'm going to kill my baby!

I've been sooo sick! I did n ot know that you could not take cough drops! How stupid am I!? I have taken a chloraseptic and two halls! needless to say i will not be taking anymore. But should I call the OB? I'm scared now!

    Hmm... I took chloraseptic and cough drops when I was pregnant.  I had a nasty cold at 5 weeks.  I was told by both my PCP and OB that cough drops and chloraseptic were safe.  ????

    I thought they were safe also.

    Ok maybe i will calm down. But my pharmacist said no. I should ask the doctor before panicking!

    It's been my experience the pharmacist will always say No. I just look at the safe list from my OB and don't ask.

    this, exactly. Pharmacists don't want you to turn around and sue them, so they say nothing is safe.

    I had a HORRIBLE cold, 4 weeks PP, and the pharmacist said that EVERYTHING gets into BM, and you shouldn't take anything. After talking to my dr and looking at kellymom.com and bunches of sites, I've given up on asking pharmacists. I try to only take meds when I absolutely need to, and only take stuff that is listed as very safe, and even then, try to limit my dosage. Most of the meds that are safe only say that they can cause a drop in your supply, but are usually safe for baby..

    My pharmacist almost didn't give me a flu shot b/c I'm still nursing.  Seriously, dude?  I just came from the pedi getting DD's flu shot.
