I had the WORST CH ever yesterday morning when DH startled me in the morning. I was sound asleep and he moved the blanket to look at my stomach (aggravating) and it woke me up and scared me! He was standing over me and it totally freaked me out. He felt really bad b/c it almost made me cry - he was like, "I was just looking at the baby!" I can't be mad at him, obviously...
usually the pain goes away in a few hours, but it's been over 24 and I can barely walk on my right leg.. It's not swollen or red, but owwww it's SO stiff.
I've tried Tylenol and a warm bath but it stiffens right back up...
Re: Ideas for healing Charlie Horse pain in calf?
YOWCH! I can only imagine! Have you tried massaging it with some oil or lotion?
I'm going to ask DH to do that when he gets home from a mtg. Since he caused it, I'm thinking of not shaving first.

Definately don't shave! Have you drank a lot of water today? I notice I tend to get them if I am dehydrated. Hope it feels better soon!

BAHAHAHA This is soooooo something I would do!
Hmmm... I am going to have to try that with the wrap!!! It worked on a headache I had last week, I didn't even think of that.
Funny you should mention bananas. I was thinking how long it had been since I'd had a CH (I used to get them 2-3 times per week) and had a banana the night before I got the one in the morning because also I was thinking about how long it had been since I'd had a banana... I think bananas CAUSE them for me.. I'm such a freak of nature sometimes.

That is likely the culprit. I was super Saturday and didn't drink much water. I've been great today though.

OUCH! I've never had one that lasted so long. For the next time (not that it helps you much tonight) - as soon as you feel it coming on, get up and walk it out. My OB told me that and even though you want to stay still and hope it goes away, walking actually does help it from getting too bad!
(it's pretty cute that he wanted to peek at the baby!)
Ouch! Lots of hard massage and stretching works for me with CHs.
Those are no fun. Hugs!
