does anyone know where you can find an ornament for the christmas tree? DH was in target yesterday, and after realizing this is our first christmas married (lol--we were married on dec 27, so it didn't dawn on either of us until he saw the date)..and looked for an ornament. he came across a blue teddy bear for a baby's first christmas, and was tempted to buy it, but thought it might be too much...did anyone buy one, or order one?

I dont know about a baby's first Christmas one. I am desperately searching for an angel that I like and is engraveable. I wanna put some nice phrase and the date ( not sure if I should do the date we lost the baby or what???). Its kind of confusing. I know we all want some type of ornament to commemorate our baby's this year.

I received an ornament from a co-worker after my first miscarriage. It is silver and is shaped like a heart. It is engraved with "You are in my heart to stay". It is very sweet and understated, so it isn't so obvious. It makes me feel good that we have some way to remember our angel though. I think she purchased it at Hallmark.

thank you everyone! we will keep looking--we agreed we don't want a baby's first christmas ornament b/c, well, it wasn't. but we want something on the tree to remember him by.

My DH just brought me home a willow tree statue yesterday that was like the ornament the PP posted - except a statue. He also showed me online other ornaments they had. One was an angel carrying a baby (willow tree). We decided the statue was best for us so we can have it out all the time. He also found the sweetest poem and we are going to put the poem and our u/s picture in some sort of frame. I hope you find something thats perfect for you and your family!

So sorry for your loss. I'd check out things remembered, I purchased a few angels at kohls and macys too. Hallmark has a beautiful shell with a pearl that says "each life leaves something beautiful behind". I also have seen some beautiful ornaments in the Lenox and precious moments catalogs. GL

thank you--the ornaments were all lovely. we found one that will put the baby's footprints on the ornament with his name and date, along with a little phrase on the back if we want. we saw it and knew that was the one we wanted--we were so fortunate to be able to get his footprints after the d&e especially since we were told probably not.

and i put the date of the d & e...the day he was physically taken (not really born, but i think you know what i mean)
