We bought a used crib/mattress (from a trusted friend, though), a new infant seat (since we had borrowed the one for DS1), a new, bigger diaper bag (since it needed to haul enough for 2 boys), a new bedding set for the new guy, new (different) pacis (so DS1 won't want them when we take his away. Riiiiiight), new burp cloths and white onesies to replace the stained old ones, a new crib mobile since DS1 still uses his, a second diaper genie for upstairs, a second changing table (used) so we have 1 upstairs and 1 on the main level.
I feel like we would be all set if we had a boy and we would be okay for the first 3 months if it was a girl but I already made a deal with DH that we wouldnt find out the sex of the baby during the 2nd go around!
I think the only thing that we would really need which could wait because we'll probably keep LO in our room for the first 3 months like we did with DS but possibly bedroom furniture especially if DS is still in the crib.
Not much actually...boy clothes, a few more CDs, new tubing for my pump, new nipples for bottles, double stroller.
We are hoping that the baby will be fine sleeping in the PNP in our room until Maya is ready for a big girl bed so we aren't buying a crib and all the crap that goes with that. We actually aren't making a real nursery for Lewie though I did repaint and will be putting up art and such...I am not buying any furniture for it.
Furniture Crib Changing Table Mattress We have an old dresser that we're going to use
Nursery Decor New bedding (sheets & crib skirt) New wall art New valances New storage bins Paint
Other Nursery Stuff Changing pad & covers White noise machine Diaper Champ - because I'm lazy and don't want to go back and forth - the rooms are on opposite ends of the house
Equipment Double Stroller Plus, we'll buy a Joovy Caboose down the road
I think that's about all... if this baby were a boy, we'd have to buy a whole new wardrobe. As it is, I'm obsessed with buying coordinating outfits.
Diaper Champ and a Double Stroller (although I have no idea what I want since Luke will be almost 3 but we want to have baby 2 and 3 close together but only want to get one double stroller) , also getting an exersaucer and swing as we borrowed those the 1st time.
-new boppy (old one was destroyed by Jackson's reflux)
Nursery stuff:
-crib
-glider
-decor
-storage bins
-changing pad, changing pad covers
-bedding
Toys:
-new toys to hang from Jackson's old playmat. As he got older he'd pull them off and a lot got lost.
Feeding:
-bottles
-nipples
-burp cloths
-bibs
Miscellaneous:
-pacifiers
-sleepsacks
-onesies
A lot of things of Jacksons, like the sleepsacks/onesies/burp cloths, were just straight up gross due to his reflux. Nothing helped them, so I just bought new and got rid of the old.
