Maddy's stocking is stuffed but we didn't get to open it this morning. We had to rush to get Joe to the airport, so we'll do it tonight after I pick her up from daycare. How are your kiddos enjoying it?

Re: Those of you who did St. Nick's - how'd it go?
We decided this year not to do shoes, so we gave her her ornament last night after dinner.
I timed it terribly. She was a devil child last night after not napping well, so when I sat down and said, "Ella, Mama has a present for you", she walked up to me and slapped me across the face.
I gave her the ornament anyway, and then we put it on the tree together. Five minutes later, she yanked it off the tree pulling three other ornaments with it.
Better luck next year I guess!
Rowan woke up with a poopy diaper and is a teething monster right now. DH changed him but he was angry and screaming the whole time so naturally he was after he let him down, too. I was at the end of the hall with my camera and got some nice screaming crying child pics.... he completely walked past his shoes and book. Oh well!
Luckily after he calmed down we walked him back over to his shoes and he was excited. He kept trying to figure out how we were talking inside the book. LOL
Last year Andrew sat and dumped this stuff out but he couldn't crawl :-) This year he saw the first thing sticking out (s'more gold fish) and he was obsessed with wanting me to open them. I had to show him there was more (a mini etch-a-sketch and a mini car) to get his attention. He's been playing with his car all morning. He loves his car ornament too.
I reminded Ryan a few times that today was St Nick today (he did not celebrate growing up) but he forgot! (We just get each other candy, nothing special, but just a goodie.)
Mornings are crazy for us too, so the gifts were left unopened by the shoes and we'll get to them tonight.
And obviously for us, Annie won't know or understand it. I think it's more for us and to take pics so that she can see when she's older that we wanted Christmas to be full of traditions for our family.

Jackson was really excited even though he's got a wicked cold right now. He loved everything he got and was really excited about his packed stocking. Unfortunately, it is all now spread out over my family room floor...
Scarlett was less than thrilled, haha. I put a pic on facebook of her in one of her "gifts."
