It only took me 3 short months. LOL. The pockets are a little crooked, but I'm happy with how it turned out! Each pocket holds a Ghirardelli chocolate square. Holly is enjoying the new tradition already
Wow! Looks great! What else will be in your Etsy shop?
My plan is all kinds of felt stuff---ornaments, hair clips, calendars, and I might move on to other accessories and felt boards like this... We'll see!
what sewing machine do you use? Love the calendar!!!
I use a very basic Brother machine. The only things I used it for on this though were sewing the pockets onto the background, sewing a back panel on (so you couldn't see the back of where I embroidered the numbers, etc) and making the sleeves for the dowel rods. The rest I sewed/embroidered by hand (hence it taking me 3 mos!)
Thank you! No, I didn't use a pattern. I kind of used this from Land of Nod and this from PB Kids as inspiration. I just made 25 3.5" x 3.5" squares first and decorated them. Then arranged them all like I wanted, then made the dimensions of the rest of it around that.
Re: AW: My felt advent calendar--finally finished it!
That is *awesome!*
I love that it holds chocolate... I would probably keep that up all year and just snack out of it.
