Ok, I still have $100 left to spend on William for Christmas after Kmart refunded me for losing my layaway. So far I have gotten him these items:
*My Pal Scout
*Grillin Grand Kitchen
*Build-a-Bear
*Stride-to-ride Dino
*FP Learning Barn
*Musical Table
*Chicken Dance Elmo
*Bounce N Giggle Pig
I know he'll only be 13 months old, but for some reason I want him to have a really good Christmas. We do have a lot of toys already, so I have thought about getting him clothes too. Any help? What do you guys think? Spend the rest of the money of DH and other family? Buy William more clothes or toys? Any toy suggestions? I've been looking for different toys but I dunno... TIA!
Re: Is this enough for DS's Christmas?
I think that is perfect - we're only getting out LO 4/5 things.
Im didn't think about that... which reminds me that I have to open his savings account up. We have his money in our lock box... but that doesn't gain interest lol.
Yeah I know... it's a good thing the kitchen has a huge box!
This put it into savings for him... he'd rather have the $$ later anyways... that is already a ton of presents. Whenever my DD opens a present she wants to play with that one, she is not interested in any other wrapped gifts...
This! And like pp, use what is left and put it in a savings account. More than likely your DS will love the bows/boxes anyways. We are not going overboard with DD..knowing that she will be spolied rotten by DH's family and mine.
I would put it in savings. If you are going to purchase more things I would focus on fine motor skill manipulatives such as shape sorters, blocks, pop beads, chunky wooden puzzles. Those will focus his attention and keep him busy without noise and lights.
Books?
You can also contact your local churches and adopt a family for the holidays. Many families are struggling to give their children one present.
These are excellent suggestions.
This is what you should do. A "good Christmas" has nothing to do with the quantity of gifts under the tree.
My dd was 13 months at Christmas last year. We didn't even open half her gifts because she was too distracted by the boxes and wrapping paper. I even saved a few gifts for her from Christmas and gave them to her at Easter! Trust me, at 13 months, they have NO clue.
