We still have Z in his infant carrier and he has not yet met the height and weight restrictions. He looks so comfy and safe in there. I also think I'm afraid of moving him up as it would be accepting he is becoming a big boy.
Please tell me I'm not the only one.

DS is still in his infant carrier in DH's car. He also hasn't met either the height or weight restrictions. (he's a little guy.)
he did get another convertible for his birthday, but we haven't installed it in DH's car yet.

dood, mexi you totally read my mind! YES YES YES!!
I texted murfy this morning and asked her the same thing. She said i was crazy!
I actually need to verify height and weight requirements for ours though.
I LOVE the carrier bc DD is always sleeping in the car and I'd hate to have to wake her. Also, i carry a lot of sheet to the car and having the carrier at my elbow gives me a free hand. If i had to carry baby that would take away one hand. UGHHH.
I still take DD to DC in carrier, church, shopping, EVERYWHERE! I just throw the carrier on the frame that we have. LOVE IT! ESP when flying!
ETA: duh, since we have the chico keyfit 30..apparently height and weight is up to 30lbs/30" :-)
We're still using ours (although I need to measure DS because I feel like he he has been growing a ton lately and I haven't checked his length in a few weeks!) We don't carry ours around anymore - just keep it in the car. We do need to pick up another carseat for DCP though. Ughhhh.
Happy Birthday, little man. We love you so much!
My favorite money saving tip: I've earned more than $300 in gift cards (Amazon, Starbucks, Southwest!) using SwagBucks for internet searching - and you can too! It's FREE and EASY!
I'm so glad I'm not the only one that is having issues with this..lol.
We have the Snugride 35 and Z probably just hit the 20 mark. Technically he still has 15lbs on that thing. I don't think we will keep him in there that long. It just looks so snug and safe.

You might want to make that an early Christmas gift
Car seats are outgrown when kids reach either the height OR weight limit- whichever comes first.
But, the listed height limit isnt as important as seated height. As long as your LO's head is more than 1" from the top of the seat, then it's not outgrown by height even if the child's full length is more than what is listed on the seat. Two babies could both be 30" tall, but one could have a short torso and the other a long one and could outgrow the same seat months apart.
Sounds crazy and confusing, but since they have to put some number on there so parents have a guide point, they put the average height in which the seat is outgrown.
We just switched E, I want to say a week ago. She was nowhere near the restrictions either, but I felt a little ridiculous carrying around a 9.5 month old in a baby seat.
I really do miss the infant seat. It was so much easier!

DH still uses it and loves it. He takes DD to DC in it all the way to her room and we use it on the weekends. She loves napping in the car so it's awesome to take her around. I really hope she can be there until spring and warm weather.
I'm using convertible since DD was 4 months.
We have the Snugride 35 too I love it but it def gets super heavy!
