Snowing buckets, anxious

So I live in the wintry wonderland of the NC mountains and we're having a typical December snow-dump.

Before DD, it wouldn't bother me to be at work (my car is a snowbeast) but I'm sitting here watching it pour and I'm getting more and more anxious. I want to make sure it safe to take her home from daycare.

Anyone else in the middle of this snow feeling anxious?

Re: Snowing buckets, anxious

  • Jealous. No snow here!

Will they close her daycare early if the weather becomes a concern?  Granted, I'm in Wilmington and this city shuts down for a flurry, but B's daycare closes if the schools close, and the schools always err on the side of caution.

  • Loading the player...
  • Nope, they were quite proud of themselves for not closing at all last year (we had a record snowfall last year which is saying something for up here).

I think I'm going to finish a couple things then check out.

  • DD isn't in daycare, but on the days she stays with my family members we have a 45 min. hike to get back home. Consisting of country back roads and a major interstate. When it snowed last week I wanted to scream at the truckers hauling butt down the interstate like idiots. I have anxiety issues anyways so that just magnifies it.
