I have about 6 of those gown things that are really long and open in the bottom. I just invested in 3 sleepers in Newborn yesterday. For size 0-3 months I have about 7 onsies and 5 pairs of pants. I figure I'll start with this and can always get more if I need it later. Everything I have is yellow/green so it'll be nice to wait and get some gender specific clothes. You can always send your DH out for clothes if you're lacking.
I plan to dress my baby in a onesie and footed sleeper 90% of the time and I only want to do laundry twice a week. I probably have 20+ onesies in 0-3 and then 8 warm sleepers and 8 cotton sleepers.
Nb onesies- 11. 0-3 mos onesies- 39. Nb shirts- 2. 0-3 shirts-5. This does not include what came with an outfit. I layer onesies under everything in winter so they will be used. Nb sleepers- 8. 0-3 mos sleepers- 12. Gowns- 4. I have one sleeper that turns in to a gown (not in either count). These counts don't include sleeper outfit with no feet I have nb- 2. 0-3 mos 4.
In 0-3, I have 19 sleepers, 3 gowns, about 14 long sleeve plain white onesies, 6 short sleeve onesies, 3 kimono-style undershirts, and about 6 or 8 printed/colored onesies. And let's not talk about the outfits!
In NB size, I don't have much at all. I have four sleepers, 5 onesies, and one onesie/pant/fleece hoodie outfit set. I don't want to spend $$ on things I won't use, so I am going to wait on getting anymore in this size. If baby is a peanut, I'll go and get a few more sleepers. If not, I am fine with her swimming a bit in the gowns or in a 0-3 sleeper.
Re: How many onesies/sleepers in each size?

Not sure how many I have but I'll count them when I get home!
