LO is working her way down to 1 nap. She takes 1 nap about every 2 - 3 days. But she is only taking her morning nap around 10am and naps anywhere from 1 1/2 - 2hrs. Then she is awake until about 6:30/7pm before going to bed. I feel like this is a really long time for a 13mo to be awake. She handles it okay but is this the average time for an LO to be awake with only 1 nap???? Should I be trying to get her in a 2nd nap still?

DS just officially went down to 1 nap last week. Prior to realizing that's what was going on, he would nap from 9:30-11:00 each day and stay awake until 7:00 at night. He would also be a beast by dinner. Now that we've realized he's down to just one nap, we're keeping him awake until around 11:00. He's been very tame staying awake til then and we're all much happier.

Cedric has been doing real good with one nap for a couple of months now. I started by keeping him up a little later every day. Now he goes down between 12 and 1pm for his nap. He is up for about 4-5 hours after he wakes up from his nap until bedtime.

I am always curious how LO's drop down to one nap. My LO will go to bed about 9/9:30 and once a week he'll sleep more than 2 hours!!! He will be tired enough to take an afternoon nap, but it's very very quick - like a half hour or so. Your LO tends to drop the afternoon nap too, then. I always hear that LO's will drop the morning nap, but my little guy still needs it over his afternoon one most days.
