Trouble TTC

IF resource question (signature warning)

Good morning, ladies! I hope you're all doing well this Monday.  I wanted to buy a book for a friend struggling with IF, and I thought I'd ask here for recommendations!

I know there was one I really found helpful, but I got it from the library and now can't remember the name.  Dummy.

Any help is appreciated! :) Good luck to all of you!

  • I like the "Conquering Infertility" & "Choosing Assisted Reproduction: Social, Emotional & Ethical Considerations" books ( although the latter is geared more towards IVF)

"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." --Thomas A. Edison
  • I bought a book that I was even able to get my DH to read.  He found it very helpful.  I think it was the "Infertility Survival Handbook".  I will check it out when I get home to confirm.

  • I really liked "A Few Good Eggs".  It's light hearted but still gives a lot of information and personal stories.  And if she's a christian or reads the bible you can get her "Hannah's Hope".  Nothing really informative in there but it's a comforting book on how to deal with your emotions and other people during IF.

  • Hiii Jill!! :)

I remember liking "A Few Good Eggs". It's been a while since I read it, so I don't remember if it was the most informative or not. But, it included humor and personal stories which made it a fun, quick read.

If there's one thing I've learned while waiting my turn,
it's that in each life some rain falls but you also get some sun.

Just do not get "Getting Pregnant: What You Need To Know Right Now" - among other things, it suggests that eating English peas are a no-no while trying to get pregnant. My RE laughed heartily when I told him that one. What can I say, I bought it way early on in this whole TTC process...

You've done the impossible - given me a piece of TTC advice I haven't heard before!  Awesome! :)  I always plant English peas in my garden, too, so maybe that was what was messing us up!

Thanks, ladies! :) I miss yoooooooou.  *hugs*
