christmas gift ideas for babies

i'm looking for some christmas gift ideas for my almost 3-month-old...  people keep asking and i'm just drawing a blank!  any ideas out there?  what do/did your kids like at that age (or a little older)?

    i have no idea either!

    i've told some that gc for diapers/formula would be helpful and also books. other than that I am no help :(

    Since our kiddo was born less than a month before X-mas when parents/family ask us. I'm telling them books or a check for their college fund that they would have spent on presents.  Both grandparents were ecstatic that we are just waiting for the SSN to set up a college fund account.. They had no clue what to get the kiddo since she pretty much has everything she needs!

    books, clothes, toys that will be enjoyed in a few months (car seat toys, ring stacker, shape shorter, fill and spill)

    We are doing the college fund thing and also getting her very own Disney Stock! MGR suggested this and I think its super neat to contribute to each year.

    My mom gets the boys savings bonds for Christmas and their birthdays. Any kind of financial contribution is a great gift- for college or something special later on.

    DS is 6 months and here are a few things that we use daily (most since about 3 months):

    Teething toys - DS prefers Sophie the Giraffe

    Exersaucer, Jumperoo, and Around We Go

    Suction cup toys for the highchair

    Bath toys and Munchkin Bath Cradle (yellow sponge thing that lays in the bath tub.  It was a LIFESAVER once DS was about 3 months and too wiggly for the infant tub.  Found at Target for like $6)

    Fisher Price Precious Planet Crib Soother

    Footed jammies and sleep sacks - once we stopped swaddling

    A few other favorite toys: FP Pots and Pans (set of 3), bead maze from Ikea, peek-a-boo blocks, and a blue elephant that vibrates (sassy brand I think).
