I'm a petite mom and wanted to know if there are any infant car seat/carriers that are easier to carry or features that make some easier to carry than others?
I'm petite too and I got the Orbit infant car seat. It seems very nice to carry compared to other car seats out there because it has a soft carry handle kind of like a tote. Apart from that, placing baby RFing was a top priority for us and the rotating base faciliates that much more than a regular car seat (you put the baby in FFing then rotate her RFing until it locks). It's on the expensive side but these little features were what we paid for seeing that I am so tiny.
I'm 5'2 and regularly 100lbs. I used the original Graco snugride (up to 22lbs) with my DD and loved it. It gets great reviews, is safe and it was important for me that it wasn't too heavy, bulky- otherwise it completely defeated the purpose of it being portable. My DD was also petite so she didn't outgrow it until she was 1, many babies do sooner. If she had I'd have just switched her to a convertible RFing earlier. Lots of people love the higher weight limit car seats, but for me lighter weight/portability was a priority.
I got the Graco Snugride 22 because I felt like it is the easiest to carry. Now that son is 15 pounds it is getting tough to carry, but i am grateful I did not get a heavier one. It clicks right into my City Mini and Bugaboo Frog strollers to.

I never carry DD in her car seat. The seat stays in the car unless we're moving it from my car to DH's truck.
I use a wrap or other carrier and it's so much easier than lugging a giant seat around. She prefers to be closer to me and I save my arms and back.
